Winter Break.

This week every day was exciting for the Early Years students. The days were full of surprises, starting from baking delicious holiday treats, celebrating their classmate's birthday and performing on the stage during the Winter Festival on Thursday. A special guest visited us on Friday, too. Santa Claus brought presents to all Early Year children! Ho! Ho! Ho!  Thank you, Santa!

Oak.
On Monday Ms Ginta visited and surprised the Oak students! They were curious to discover a traditional African musical instrument and sounds of the Kalimba. Thank you, Ms Ginta!

Tuesday was filled with cooking activities! Students were happy to bake special gingerbread cookies for a holiday treat. They liked to explore the dough by touching, smelling and rolling it and using different cookie cutter shapes on the dough.

On Wednesday we celebrated Nicole's 5th birthday. Children created a special book with drawings for her!  Happy birthday to you, Nicole!

Maple.
What a week! The children turned into Santa’s helpers and were busy decorating the classroom, making presents for parents and friends, making gingerbread cookies, singing, dancing, and of course, hosting “The Fat and Beardy Man!”
We are ready for wonderful holiday season filled with its surprises and treats!

Linden.
We had so much fun in school with all the Christmas activities happening in and around the class this week. We listened to the story of the Gingerbread man, and we even made gingerbread cookies. The children had fun decorating their cookies and were eager to eat them. The Winter Festival concert was a great success and the Linden children enjoyed going to the bazaar with the Grade 9 students.
Linden class would like to wish all parents and children a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Enjoy your holiday, travel safely, and we are looking forward to seeing you in the New Year.

We wish all of you a wonderful Winter break! See every one of you on the 9th of January!
